Lady Palominos Strive To Improve

The Laredo Community College Lady Palomino softball team was dealt
another loss by the Coastal Bend College Cougars after losing a four game
series on Feb. 27-28 in Beeville.

In the first doubleheader, LCC lost by scores of 6-3 and 9-1.
LCC was unable to win the second doubleheader, but the results of those
games—11-8 and 17-14—were a positive indicator for head coach Jorge
Canales.

"I'm very proud of the Palominos for their commitment.  They showed a lot of
improvement during the second doubleheader.  Our goal now is to continue to
practice hard and focus on fundamentals.  I strongly believe that the team is
getting better overall," Canales said.

And practice is what the team will continue to do.  They are practicing
throughout the week in the evenings for at least two hours.
The Palominos' next matches will be held in April against the Cougars again.
