CATCHERS : POP TIME
Catcher's Pop Time should be under
2.00. For most scouts a 1.90 is what
would consider Major League Average.
What Scouts ALWAYS look for.
Players that hustle all of the time and
show an undying desire to play and
compete. Baseball players with
confidence and respecting everyone
around you. How you take the field will
separate you from many other players. If
you are paying attention to the game
you will always be the first person on
and off of the field. Do not let anyone
out hustle you and you will get noticed
because you play with a passion for the
game. Every ground ball you hit run at
full speed and challenge yourself to get
the best home to first time every time
you hit a ball. Don't stand and watch or
go on cruise control or throw equipment.
Make up is a huge for scouts and
colleges. Great players that are great
examples of how to act at all times, be it
on or off of the field. Good players
respect the game, their parents, their
teachers, their peers, and the
opposition at all times. You never know
when someone is listening or watching
you that could be helpful in your career.
SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED
Speed is a very valuable in baseball. If
you have enough speed you don't have
to have power. If you have speed, hit for
average, have an average arm, and
play average defense you can have a
chance to play for a long time. You
should be able to play through college
and manybe even pro ball if you keep
working on getting better.SPEED SPEED
