free admission.

Thursday is "Thirsty Thursday," all beers are $2 for the
entire game.

Friday is the celebration of the Broncos fifth
anniversary, fans can get five tickets for $5.

Saturday is Kids Night, all kids under the age of 12 get in
free.

Sunday is Broncos Weekend Four Pack where families
can buy four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for
30$.

The Broncos, badly in need of relief pitching, after RHP
Brandon Veronee was ruled out for the season when the
results of his MRI on his right elbow came back and showed a
complete tear of his UCL. Veronee was released by the
Broncos and will return home. Veronee only pitched 2.1
innings for the Broncos and had allowed one unearned run. He
allowed two hits and walked three while striking out three.

LHP Vinnie Dechristofaro was placed on the inactive list
Wednesday for bereavement leave. Dechistofaro left the
Broncos while the team was in Harlingen taking on the White
Wings to return home for a family emergency and there is no
time table as of now for his return.  Dechristofaro was a work
horse for the Broncos bullpen. He had appeared in a United
League leading 19 games.  Dechistofaro had a record of 0-4
with a 6.59 ERA while allowing 12 runs, 10 earned, 12 hits, he
walked six and struck out 13.

To fill the need for left handed relief the Broncos have moved
LHP Brian Buchanan to the bullpen permanently and
announce the signing of LHP Thomas Vessella to a 2010
contract.  Vessella played at Whittier College in California and
was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 11th round of the
2006 Amateur draft. After three years in the Houston
organization Vessella spent last season with the Lake Erie
Crushers of the Frontier League in 2009.

In four professional season Vessella has a career 4-15 record
with a 5.19 ERA in 36 games, 31 of those were starts for
Vessella.

The Broncos roster, under the guidance of manager Dan
Firova continues to evolve just 18 games into the 2010
season.  On Monday, June 14th, a day after arriving home
from an eight game road trip in which the Broncos went 3-5,
the Broncos cut ties with CL Jonathan Miller, and CF Bradley
Goldsmith.

Miller, through 18 games had struggled, he had a record of
0-1, and a 13.50 ERA in nine appearances, Miller had allowed
21 hits, 13 runs, 10 earned runs, six walks, and had just four
strikeouts in 6.2 IP. Opposing hitters were batting .568 against
him.

Goldsmith, who recently was hit on the hand by a pitch, had
lost his center fielder job to David Fowler and was hitting just
.279. He was 12 for 43 and had only four extra base hits and
four RBI to nine strikeouts.

Also RHP Christian Staehely was traded to the El Paso Diablos
of the American Association for a player to be named.
Signed later on Monday were LHP Franklyn Gracesqui.  
Gracesqui split time in 2009 with Southern Maryland (Atlantic
League) and Laredo. Overall, he pitched 19.0 innings, and
allowed just seven earned runs in 20 appearances. He picked
up nine saves and 27 strikeouts.  

Also added to the active roster were RHP Maximinio De La
Cruz and 1B/OF Steve Bralver.. De La Cruz pitched in just two
games in 2009 with Alexandria (Continental League). He threw
2.1 innings and had an ERA of 7.12, allowing 5 runs, 2 earned.
he walked two and struckout four.  Bralver played at University
of Hawai at the NCAA level.   

Also signed and put on the Inactive list was RHP Enmanuel
Ulloa.  Ulloa played for Long Island (Atlantic League) in 2008.
He went 5-6 with a 5.94 ERA in 30 games; he made 21 starts.

RHP Santo Hernandez  pitched six perfect innings, retiring all eighteen men he faced until the
seventh inning when he allowed back-to-back singles. The Broncos (31-34) scored seven runs in the
fourth frame and cruised to the 8-1 victory, sweeping the Thunder (22-41)

The Broncos entered the day tied for fourth place and needing to pick up a win to keep pace with the
Rio Grande Valley White Wings who were victorious earlier in the day.  RHP Santo Hernandez (6-3)
went to the mound with trying to complete the four game sweep of the Coastal Bend Thunder. On the
mound for the Thunder was RHP Carlos Rangel (5-6)

The Broncos through the first three innings mustered just three hits and stranded all three runners
on the base paths against Rangel.

In the bottom of the fourth Laredo’s offense finally broke through.  D.J Dixon his a one out double
and Jonathan Cisneros brought him home one batter later with an RBI double and the score was 1-
0.  A pitch hit Thennis before Flynn drove in Cisneros with an RBI single to give the Broncos the 2-0
lead.  Carlos Arroyo took an RBI walk with the bases loaded to increase the lead to 3-0 and Jonel
Pacheco came up and crushed a grand slam over the left center field wall to make it a big inning.  
Broncos led 7-0 over the Thunder.

In the bottom of the fifth the Broncos added a run after Nick Mahin took a walk, Jonathan Cisneros
drove him in with his second RBI double of the game and the lead was 8-0 Broncos.

Santo Hernandez was magnificent on the mound for Laredo, he pitched the first six innings perfect.
Retiring all eighteen men he faced, striking out seven, picking up five fly outs and six groundouts.  In
the top of the seventh Mike Lewis broke up the attempt at history with a leadoff single, followed by a
Ron Fenwick.  Hernandez then picked up a double play ball to cut the really down and dance out of
the jam, holding the Thunder scoreless through seven.

RHP Wade Townsend came into the game in the top of the eighth and allowed all three batters he
faced to reach base and allowed the first Thunder run in the game on an RBI double by Alex
Fernandez.  RHP James Maxwell came into the game got a home to one double play with the bases
loaded and then a ground out to end the threat. The Broncos took their 8-1 lead heading to the
bottom of the eighth.

RHP Maximinio De La Cruz came on in the ninth and stranded runners on first and third to end the
ball game.

The Broncos pick up the series sweep over the Thunder, their first sweep of the season and have
now won four games in a row.
